Well, if there is one delicacy that I can safely say that I will never have the courage or patience to make, it is the croissant. After reading Mireille Guiliano’s French Women Don’t Get Fat, where she shares her 2 day prep recipe for the iconic patisserie, I knew: no bloody way!
Cakes, cookies, brownies I can do, basically anything that I can stir but the thought of rolling out or kneading (yes, I need!!) dough, millefeuille (phyllo) pastry sheets, ugh. Or using a food processor. Fear, panic. 🙅🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
I have been a busy baker lately so maybe it’s time to conquer pie 🥧 and croissant 🥐
